What is the relationship between struts and WSAD regarding web development?

Are they to be used together or are they independent entities meant for different purposes?

What is the relationship between struts and WSAD regarding web development?
There is no relationship. Struts is a J2EE framework while WSAD is an IDE. Can you use WSAD with Struts? Sure. But then again, you can use any IDE you want. Or even without an IDE and just a plain text editor.

WSAD is a tool for writing Java programs, and specifically J2EE programs. You don’t need to use it. Struts is a framework. It isn’t associated with any software development tool. Just the Java platform.
